Reading these memories buoys my heart, simply from knowing how one woman’s just, empathetic, enthusiastic life can ripple out and inspire the rest of us.
Memories of a life lived well.

This is such a wonderful tribute to Alice . She would have loved it. Although I have been a “cousin-in-law” only since 1963, I do not go back to the very start but my wife, Natalie, who passed away 2 years ago, and Alice were real first cousins and had very close feelings with each other through all of their years together. One of my most recent memories of Alice was when she came and stayed with us in Kensington. Md. for Pres. Obama’s first inauguration and we stood together in very frigid temperatures at that time and walked great distances. She was always a “real trouper”.
